What’s Happening in the Community?

Q2 updates:  

  • Local wisdom.  We meet periodically to discuss needs that parents and teachers have identified, and take steps to come alongside and provide support.

  • Summer guidelines:   intentional technology use for optimal social connection and learning.  We will be sharing the summary from our discussion groups, focused on how to help parents navigate their students’ summer rhythm and habits.  yes, we will address video games.
    1. Online safety & guideline for 2-5th Junior high aged.
    2. Establish a “rhythm” and “fasting schedule” for electronics.

      Locally sourced wisdom tips 

  • Healthy Habits, 70-Day Summer Plan.  We did this back in 2016, with the help of a group of students from Claremont Colleges.  We will roll out a “flash card” version of it this summer and make it available for teachers before the school year ends.
